I actually wasn't sure if I'll be able to finish this before the end of the week. It's probably the most longest video to date. Over 1 hour. I'd be very surprised if anyone actually watches the whole thing.
The video is long because I wasted some time trying to figure out my strategy and also doing pointless attacks.
Alright. So first a few advice for those playing the game. The primevals have Zonder barrier and only has one attack. The one attack it uses is a group attack so be wary of your team members for each platoon. You can avoid the attack by putting your unit right by the enemy since their range starts at 2. So if you want to be on the safe side, just attack while beside them.
Keep in mind that as soon as you attack a primeval once, it'll have enough will to activate it's Zonder barrier. At that point, none of your team attacks will do any damage and most of the attacks that do damage below 2500 will be completely nullified. If you hope to do some damage, then make sure you attack with anything over 2500 base damage. I would even go as far as saying anything with a base damage of 3000 at least.
Burning's team is almost useless once the Zonder barrier is activated. The only attack that will work for him is the "GM rifle (rapid-fire)" attack. That's why I mostly used them to do the initial attack on most of the primevals. However, even with that, once you've killed 10 of them, all other primevals will have enough will for Zonder barrier.
If you forget like I did on occasion, you'll curse yourself for using a weaker attack or attacking at all.
The good news is the enemies won't attack during their phase. They'll all head straight for the South end of the map. Putting one of your units in their path might not seem like much but it'll help greatly when dealing with all of them.
The ZX-03 will appear at the start of turn 4. It's got a lot of HP and a powerful group attack that can wipe out your weak team mates within a platoon with just one attack. Make sure to attack with a unit that's alone or team mates that can use dodge/defense skills. You can use J against it as he has some good defense spirit commands.
Now, on to some notes for the video:
- Since it's a long segment, I'm not really confident I did a good job with proof reading all of it. If there's some grammatical errors or timing errors, I apologize in advance. I wanted to try and finish this within this week so I rushed a little with proof reading.
- EOT is short for Extra Over Technology. Basically a term for any alien technology that far exceed Earth's conventional technology.
And now, here's the video:
Update: Video is up and all markers are in the description. Enjoy!
Episode 3 complete! Great work.
ReplyDeleteAdmittedly for me, I skip over the battle parts - I'm mainly looking at the dialogue for the prebattle chat/afterbattle chat and the dialogue for special events during the mission (such as J/The White Arc appearing etc). There's so much you miss if you play through without being able to read the intermission screens (like Kouji studying hard because he wants to stop being a comedy relief character like Hyouma forever).
I've just finished playing through episode 3 myself... looking forward to episode 4.
I really don't mind people skipping most of the video as long as they still appreciate my work of translating the dialogue. It's players like you that I hope can take something away from my translations because there's only so much you can figure out without understanding what they are saying. I greatly appreciate your support and hope my work help more players like yourself enjoy the game.
DeleteWonderful effort. Keep up the good work, and thanks.
